My Latest Rant
Ok, what's the deal with stores not accepting checks! I went into a shoe store the other day who shall remain nameless and wanted to buy a pair of shoes. Now mind you these are not the cheapest shoes in the world, but they were on sale and are very comfortable and wear well. I went to pay with a personal check and the girl told me "oh, we don't acccept checks". I said Excuse me, why is that? "oh, our manager wants us to be a paperless company". I told the lazy worthless counter leaner, that I guess I won't be buying those shoes. Guess what... It really didn't look like she could give a rat's butt about it.
I have two things to say to all companies...
Money is paper, you still accept that don't you?
If you don't accept many forms of payment in a retail environment, your business will crash and burn. I will never shop at this shoe store again and will encourage multiple friends not to as well. Remember retailers, every customer knows at least 50 people and bad service will provoke that person to let many of those 50 people know about. The american public is tired of being crapped on by shoddy service and products and will let you know.
PS - American companies need to start spending money on training. Customer Service training, how to handle problem situations with customers. A few dollars spent on training will give your customer's a better shopping experience and a happy customer is a returning customer who will bring their friends. Go into a Nordstrom's to experience customer service at it's best!
What I'm Reading:
The 5th Horseman - The 5th book in the Woman's Murder Club series. I have read and loved the first four books, so far this one is living up to it's legacy.
