Krazy Kids Items - a photoset on Flickr

Krazy Kids Items - a photoset on Flickr

This is fun! I remember many of these products from my youth. I really remember the Kelloggs Presto Pizza, which is kind of a Pop Tart Pizza. If I remember correctly, these were pretty tasty! My great-aunt Doris used to buy these for my lunch in grammer school. Does anyone know if they still make the small ceral boxes the opened up into a bowl? I always got a kick out of those.

America on the Move

I found a fun fitness website name AmericaOnTheMove.Org it's full of tips on healthy eating, fitness and recipes. Check it out. I'm doing the Steptember Challange. This involvles pick a virtual trail to walk on the website. There are about 5 to choose from. I'm doing the Alaska Military Trail. You have to wear a pedometer and enter the number of steps you walk each day into the website. You then move along the trail and you have to finish by a certain date. The trail I picked involves walking an average of 3560 steps per day to meet the goal of finishing the trail. Certain physical activities translate into more steps, like working out on a crosstrainer gives you 218 steps a minute. It's fun and it's free, give it a try!

The Johnny Appleseed Festival is this Saturday, September 23rd in Historic Downtown Crystal Lake. Stop on by to talk to Johnny himself or enjoy world famous brats or hot dogs from the Knights of Columbus. Watch the Great Ball Race! This year, there is even a special twist to the race. You have to see it to believe it!
