Humor - Good Manners

Good Manners:
During class, a teacher trying to teach good manners asks the students, one by one
"Michael, if you were on a date, having supper with a nice young lady, how would you tell her that you have to go to the bathroom?" she asked.

"Just a minute, I have to go piss."

The teacher replied "That would be rude and impolite!"

"What about you John, how would you say it?"

"I am sorry, but I really need to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back"

The teacher responded, "That's better, but it's still not very nice to say the word bathroom at the table."

"And you Peter, are you able to use your intelligence for once and show us your good manners?"

"I would say: Darling, may I please be excused for a moment, I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope you'll get to meet after supper."

The teacher fainted.

Nothing New to Report On?

Nothing much new going on. Looking forward to the holiday weekend, although I have plenty of work to do. I am on vacation next week, so I have to catch up on everything for my full time job. Yikes! Played Wallyball last night, then came home and went to the mall for some Japanese food. My wife and I both love Japanese. We did avoid the sushi, since it is a no no on our diet. We then took a ride to Borders to return a CD we purchased a couple of night ago. The CD inside the jewel case did not match the jewel case. The CD itself was labeled correctly, but the music on it was totally different. I have probably purchased over 2000 cds in my life and this is the first time this ever happened.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Just A Note

Just so my pal Marcia Krasnoff does not feel left out, I thought I would mention her name here! She was very jealous of Andy getting mentioned, so I didn't want her to feel left out.

Having a Wild Weekend

I had a fantastic weekend! It started out on Saturday going to a Crawdaddy Scramble at Plum Tree National Golf Course. We dined on a delicious dinner of Crawdaddys, Jambalya, salad, potatoes and corn on the cob. Great dinner. It ended while it was still light, so my friend Kent decided to take me out on the course for a few rounds. I have never played golf before, but always have wanted to try it out. Kent is a natural teacher and we had a great time on a beautiful course. We got back just in time for dessert - Bread Pudding. My favorite! If ya don't believe me, ask my pal - Andy Andrews! I don't share my Bread Pudding with anyone!

After we were done at the golf course, we took a ride to Grayslake, IL to visit the all night flea market. If you have never been to one of these, it is a must. We have a great time and stayed until about 1:00 am. Didn't buy too much, just a few cheap $1 items.

On Sunday we went to the Huntley Factory Shops. I had read an article in Organic Style magazine about storing and reheating food in plastic containers and decided it was time to give up the plasticware. We bought a set of Pyrex glass containers with venting lids. We got it at the Corningware outlet store at the Huntley Factory Shops. A 22 piece set cost us $29.00. Great bargin!

American English Recreates Apple Records Roof Concert Tonight

Historic Beatles Final Rooftop Concert at Raue Center for the Arts One of the greatest spontaneous moments in rock music history will be re-created from the rooftop of Raue Center for the Arts on May 19th in Crystal Lake, IL. The Beatles final public appearance, indelibly stamped into the minds of rock music fans, first occurred from the rooftop of Apple Records studios in London in 1969. The re-creation will be authentically performed by American English, the best Beatles show of our time. Even the atmosphere will get a historical makeover as British-made classic cars will cast their historic ambiance on the event. Downtown Crystal Lake/Main Street has obtained the cooperation of various British car clubs to populate the streets and parking lots surrounding the event. This is a perfect fit for the historic downtown of Crystal Lake. Just like a mop top hair cut, every hair on the head of this Beatles moment will hang in the perfect place as the music, the instrument and the costumes give you that “I’m really there” moment. The public can start their psychedelic flashback at 6:00 PM by previewing all of the classic cars on display. The first Fab Four guitar chord will launch from elevated amplifiers from the theatre’s rear rooftop at 7:00 PM. Raue Center for the Arts is located at 26 N. Williams St in Crystal Lake, IL. The event is free and is supported by the generous sponsorship of Gary Lang Auto Group. The event is organized by Downtown Crystal Lake/Main Street and Raue Center for the Arts. For information you can call 815-356-9212. American English will also energize the weekend by performing two shows at the Raue Center For The Arts on Friday, May 20th at 7:30 PM and Saturday, May 21st at 7:30PM. Tickets are priced at $31 and $26 and can be purchased by the calling the Raue Center Box Office at 815-356-9212.

What's going on after Mother's Day

Enjoyed a nice Mother's Day with my family at my sister's house. I am lucky to still have my mother kicking around, especially with all her heart ailments over the years.

We dined on a meal of Hawaiian Marinated Flank Steak, Honey-Ginger Salmon, Nutty Green Beans and baked potatoes and salad. The guys did all the cooking and the women did all the eating.

For dessert, we had brownies, Honey Ricotta Cheesecake and a Weight Watchers Key Lime Pie. Yum!

What I am reading:

Another Alex Cross Novel, very good if you like Alex Cross.

What I am watching:

This is an excellent workout DVD. Very easy on the body and great for the mind and spirit. I highly recommend it.

This is a superb remake of my favorite film - Dawn of The Dead. A must see for horror flick lovers.

Now, I must show the original Dawn of The Dead. A classic in my eyes.

Anchorman:The legend of Ron Burgundy. This is a funny movie, if you are a Will Ferrill Fan.

What I am listening to:

OK, I'm a sucker for American Idol. I admit it.
My top 2 right now - Bo and Vonzell. Carrie is great, but I think she is limited in her style. I think she will turn out to be one of the top country performers in the upcoming years. My pick to win.... Bo Bice. He is different and has a unique sounding voice. Don't worry Vonzell, remember Clay Aiken and Kimberly Locke. Both successful recording artists.

Hey Constintine's band - Pray For The Soul Of Betty CD is now available

Deer Tick Warning - Please read ASAP!

I dislike email warning of scams as much as anyone, but this one is important!
I hope I'm not to late!

Send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.

If someone comes to your door saying they are conducting a survey on deer ticks,
and asks you to take all your clothes off and dance around to shake the ticks off, DON'T DO IT!

It is a scam; they only want to see you naked.

I wish I had gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid now...

Here is a picture of our dog Jazzy with her doppelganger - stuffed Jazzy. My mother bought this stuffed animal and we placed it in Jazzy's bed while she was outside. She wasn't very happy sharing her bed with another dog Posted by Hello
